Objectives:
The primary goal was to upgrade the showground’s exhibition hall with a robust, hard-wearing, and visually appealing floor surface to meet the demands of the various events hosted throughout the year. Key objectives included removing the existing paint system, exposing the natural aggregate in the concrete, and achieving a high-gloss, easy-to-maintain floor that complements the venue’s nature.
Solutions:
WJ Industrial employed a meticulous process, starting with diamond grinding to remove the existing paint, which exposed the underlying, stronger concrete. The team then polished the floor up to a 400-grit resin, delivering an aesthetically pleasing finish while adhering to the client’s budget. WJ Industrial also ensured that the process was dust-free, promoting a healthier environment for the venue’s occupants.
Results:
The end product was a glossy, high-quality floor, resistant to common contaminants like tyre marks from forklifts and dirt. Easy to clean and maintain, the new surface promises longevity, lasting the lifetime of the building.
