Scarifying will remove any existing coatings, products and treatments and prepare the surface to adhere to new coatings. This is the most cost-effective method for removing old coatings that may be chipped or flaking.
WJ Industrial uses specialised equipment, PPE and dust suppression methods to minimise dust and debris produced from the application. Our team will use HEPA filters on vacuum systems to wet the surface prior to scarifying. Where is it used?
The scarifying process is used when captive blasting will not remove flooring and can be used to a depth of between 1mm and 5mm in each pass. If needed, multiple passes can be used for greater depth. Scarifying can be used in many situations:
