Diamond Grinding is typically used to level out and smooth concrete surfaces in preparation for a new coating or finish. This process is also used to remove surface coatings or any contaminants such as grease, oil or paint; eliminate any trip hazards, and improve the overall texture and skid resistance of the surface. This application is incredibly versatile and suitable for any location or environment, whether in retail or in specialist sectors like aviation.
WJ Industrial has the largest three-tiered grinder in Europe, allowing for high production outputs over large areas. We provide two distinct types of diamond grinding services. The first is ride-on – with grinding attachments on our machines, we use diamond disks to grind off paint, latex and other residues to leave a clean concrete surface ready for coating. Our advanced, high-tech machinery enables us to grind larger areas much faster than would otherwise be possible.
The second is pedestrian grinding – this is used as part of our high-quality concrete polishing service and is suitable for areas that are less accessible both indoors and out. Additionally, diamond grinding is overall more effective and environmentally friendly in comparison to more traditional surface preparation methods like sandblasting.
